I disagree with your belief that change happens daily, and in small incriments- rather I believe it is change is a result of an array of interactions both large and small. History bares out my opinion. Black Americans didn't get rights in this country by being nice to white people every day at work. Get real.

More importantly, you also neglect to acknowledge that orthodoxy (of anykind, not just Jewish) is, by its very nature, oppressive to those who are not adherents. So by virtue- gays/lesbians in Jerusalem should be met everyday by metaphorical spitting in their faces, by derision and discrimination??? How is that locus of morality better than any other- especially one that asks or demands equal treatment, rights, and presence in the world? Because the Torah says so? Their are parts of the Torah that have outlived their usefullness, like animal sacrifice...so too the immorality of homosexuality.
