Some years ago, a friend of mine who was teaching Hebrew school at the synagogue was confronted with this question from one of her grade-school pupils:
"Is it true that Paul McCartney was in another band, before he joined Wings?"
Democracy for the Middle East reports that our good friends at the BBC have a warm spot in their hearts for the Jews of Persia - who, they remind us, 'have lived in Persia for nearly 3,000 years - the descendants of slaves from Babylon saved by Cyrus the Great'.
Ahhh, so now we know the origin of the Jews. They came from Babylon. But one question remains: Where on Earth would these Jews get newfangled notions about a "Jewish state"?
UPDATE: Speaking of Paul McCartney ... oy, vey.
